DIVING |
| The
extensive coral reef system surrounding the Turks & Caicos Islands
provides a world-class diving experience. Grand Turk, in particular, has
some of the most spectacular and pristine wall diving in the Caribbean.
Located just a few hundred yards from shore on the leeward side of the
island, the reef starts at depths of just 30-35 feet and the wall plunges
to more than 7,000 feet.
The diving here is calm and clear with visibility averaging 100 feet and the water temperature ranging from 82-84 degrees Fahrenheit in the summer and 74-78 degrees in the winter. The abundant tropical flora and fauna, fish and other marine life make the diving here truly memorable. We work with the best and most experienced dive operators on the island and will arrange dive packages for you upon request. Diving equipment is available for rent and diving instruction is available for visitors who want to learn to scuba dive. |
